Dear Family and Friends, 
           
We want to share our exciting news with you! We are adopting a little girl from India born December 14, 2007. Reka (pronounced “rake” “ah”) has a clubbed foot as well as flexion contraction which keeps her arms from straightening out completely. With physical therapy and surgery we hope to aid her in overcoming her disabilities. She should be living with us by next fall. 

We have wanted to adopt for some time and truly believe the Lord has led us to this precious girl. We are excited about the opportunity to offer at least one child-in-need a family to love and the opportunity to learn about Jesus. As many of you know the last few years God has firmly placed India on our hearts and for Erin the connection to India started at a very young age.
           
Adoption is a wonderful way to build a family but it is not an inexpensive venture. Our adoption expenses including document preparation and translation, hiring of attorneys and other professionals in the U.S. and India, travel, hotels, passports and more will cost in excess of $30,000. We are using a wonderful agency located in Portland, Oregon and Bellingham, Washington called “All God’s Children International” www.allgodschildren.org. We have paid $8,500.00 of the amount and are excited to see how God will provide the remainder.
