Rachel and Will

Two friends of my co-worker are both in ICU, on ventilators (at Providence and Island).  They have H1N1 complicated by pneumonia.  They are both young (20 and 35).   They both need prayer but Will especially as it does not appear that he will recover.

Christopher Hastings

To my Church family,

I am writing this on the evening of the day that a family has been given the news that their beloved son will die within the week. This family does not have a personal relationship with Christ. To this day the group that has rallied around them and supported them the most is an amazingly generous Biker gang. This saddens me to know that despite their need for a church, not one in the valley has stepped up to the plate to help them in their time of need.

I know our church family is small and so many of us are struggling with our own needs right now
but I would challenge each and every one of you to tell me what is harder than watching your baby battle for his life? I love our church and I love the people and know the blessing of being a part of the Gathering. I have watched us support one another in times of need and step up when our building was at stake.

My prayer is that tonight, tomorrow and throughout this week you would pray for The Hastings and
consider a gift for them.  They will soon have the burden of funeral costs and I can tell you all from my own experience, that is the last thing you want to worry about when a loved one passes.  They will need meals that are healthy and easy, food is an afterthought when you are grieving.  They have dogs that may need some checking on or feeding. They may need a place to hold a service.  I am sure there are many things I have not thought of that you may think of.

Please consider what you can give and above all pray. I still believe in miracles I know that our God heals. Pray that they would hear God calling them to Him. Pray that through us they may find truth and peace and rest and support. Thank you for taking the time to read this and pray

Love,
Alicia Bettger

From Stephanie

Stephanie Cole asked me to pass on a prayer request for her daughter Bess, who lives in California.  Bess has been suffering severe back pain and nausea, and the doctors can't seem to find an explanation or a cure.  She suffered through some traumatic experiences as a child, and Stephanie suspects that these things might be related to PTSD.

In any case, please pray for Bess and her family, that her health would be restored and that God would be with them all.

Thanks!

Sarah

Prayer for Jeremy Moore

Marc Marion passed this request on to us:

Hey guys,
Jeremy Moore asked me to ask people to pray.
Could you do so and could this go out to the church?
Thanks
Marc

Hi Marc
Thank you for praying for us here in Peru. Opposition is intensifying daily so I am reaching out to everyone back home to be the prayer cavalry. We desperately need your prayers, and I'm hopin you will spread this amongst your church family and any other fellowships you have connections with.
Thank you so much
Jeremy

Prayer for three year old boy with brain cancer

Hello,

My name is Breanne. I do not attend your church but am reaching out to any church I can get a hold of to send out prayers for a very special little boy. His name is Christopher Hartley. Just before Thanksgiving last year, Christopher was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on his brain stem. He was only two and a half. Since then, Christopher has turned three but has spent at least five out of the six months in Children's hospital. He has undergone numerous rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. He lost his ability to walk, sit on his own, and use his left hand. I recently found out that Christopher weighs only 26 pounds and is having to be placed on a feeding tube in order to regain weight. Christopher's father, Allen, quit his job to become Christopher's primary caregiver. His mother, Judy, continues to work to help pay for the bills the family is incurring from this ordeal.

On June 30th, Christopher will receive an MRI to determine what the effects of radiation were on his tumor. Given his recent side effects, it is very possible the tumor has not shrunk at all. No family deserves the pain and suffering that this family is going through. I reach out to your congregation to please send up a prayer for this family and hope that the tumor is shrinking. Pray that this family's suffering will be over soon.

Thank you so much,

Breanne Desmarais

Prayer for Mike and Linda

Hello,

I found your wonderful church web site online, you have a gorgeous church. My name is Linda, and I would like to ask for prayer, when i have difficulties in my life I like to reach out for additional prayer, I love prayer and I have seen so many miracles from prayer in my life, my father was a Sunday School teacher, I was raised a Chrisitan and my family and I are all Chrisitians.

I just have had a heavy heart lately and burdoned with some issues in my life,  and would very much appreciate extra prayer for this situation that I would like to see resolved in a favorable way, and to have a favorable answer as soon as possible.

If you could possibly add me and my family to your prayer chain that would be wonderful,

Very Sincerly

Linda  and Mike (husband) and please pray for my whole family as well, sisters and brothers and parents etc

 and thank you again

God Bless you and your church, we live in Ellensburg, or we would go there to your church I think its a beutiful building.

Prayer for Stephanie

Hi all.

Most of you know my friend Stephanie, who comes to church with me most weeks. (This is Sarah, by the way.)   Well, she just called me tonight and asked if I would put in a request for her.  She has been struggling with health issues (both physically and emotionally) for quite some time now, and she is feeling very tired and discouraged.  So if you could pray for her that God would comfort her and bring her healing and peace, I know that she would be very grateful.  I know that God has good things in store for Stephanie, and deep down she knows it too, but life can get very hard sometimes, and right now Stephanie just needs to know that she is loved.

Anyway, please pray for her.

Thanks ever so much!
Sarah Dunn

Prayer for Kyle Dillon

Kyle Dillon has asked for prayer because, due to some administrative mix-up, his Officers' Training has been canceled. This means that he is stuck in St. Louis without housing or a job and that he will have to find a way to replace the lost income. Needless to say, this is quite a stress and frustration for Kyle.

So please pray that God provide for Kyle and that he use this for Kyle's benefit.

Pray for Pastor Melchor's family

Please pray for Pastor Melchor, his wife Antonia, and their family who recently lost their 11 year old son, Wilbur.

They are from a  Oaxacan town called Tiltepec. It is in region of indigenous people called the Chatinos, and is about 3 hours up into the mountains from the mission where we work, Roca Blanca.

Little Wilbur was born with a lethal heart defect, We have known him for a few years and it is amazing to us that he lived this long. Tiny, and unable to even walk due to his condition, he had a deep faith and relationship with the Lord. He was fully expecting to be healed. Finally after a surgical attempt to help him, he passed away and was buried last week.

I remember 2 years ago when he was brought to our clinic, we thought he might die on us then. I sat with his mother, and watched his father tenderly hold his unconscious little boy.

Now I have been told that Antonia is suffering terribly with her loss, and I can only imagine Melchor anquish, I have seen the sorrow that they always carried.

Please pray for God's comfort. We know that Wilbur is whole now, and I know that he is rejoicing.
Please pray for the family's comfort.

Thank you

Prayer NEEDED completely provided for!

Here is the update from the H family FYI!!!

--------------------------
A quick word to all of you who were faithful to lift up this dad and daughters trip!

They were welcomed home to our apartment just 1 hour ago after 27 hours of travel...

Specifically, the requests that were answered were:

1) On-time connection in Chicago with only a 50 minute layover...no lost luggage

2) No fevers on either the Shanghai (PTL) or Wuhan flights!

3) The policy has been reversed here at our company's site, due to a loosening of the local government's position...and there is now no mandatory quarantine!

Our arms and hearts were thrilled to receive them...and truly...because of your remembering of them this week...I believe they had the BEST international trip any of us have ever experienced!
